Welcome to the camping
and Caravan Park Oberrabenstein
Our site is embeded in the castle park that is bordering directly upon the forest of Rabenstein. This forest extends beyond the Totenstein
up to Hohenstein-Ernsttal and so allows to make long walking tours in fresh and clean forest air. The site is silent, there are no traffic ways in the direct neighbourhood. Sometimes you hear the wolves howl and, when the weather is favourable, you can hear the lion of the animal park roar.
At a distance of ca. 200 m, the reservoir invites you to go swimming, besides, the castle of Rabenstein, the castle and
the game preserve, where you can watch animals of our country within their natural surrounding, are situated in the direct neighbourhood. After 2 kilometres, you reach the animal park of Chemnitz and the rock cathedrals of Rabenstein, both by an easy walk.
Even the city centre of Chemnitz is very near (10 km). Everybody who knows the situation of our city from former times will be astonished about the development. Chemnitz today is very attractive!
The Erzgebirge (mountains), the capital of Sachsen, Dresden (30
minutes on the motorway), the Muldental (valley) and the country of
Altenburg are wonderful places for roundtrips and excursions.
In our camping shop you can buy many things you need, further shopping possibilities you find in the shopping centre of
Rabenstein (ca. 1 km) and in the biggest mall of Sachsen, the centre of Chemnitz (ca. 4 km).
You reach us by taking the motorway A 72, A 4 exit Limbach/Rabenstein, by train you leave at the station Chemnitz main station / Siegmar. |
